“My goal was to get a sub one minute on my 400 meter dash,” said freshman, Ty Johnson.
Freshmen, Allie Wilkins runs the 60, 200, and the 400 meter dash.
“It helps me with my mind and just helps me push myself and stay active,” said Allie.
Relieving stress and having fun are top reasons as well to why people continue to run as a sport in the United States. According to Statista Research Department.
Freshman, Hudson Clark said, “Mainly I just kept running and doing what I was doing before and I mean you have to mentally prepare too.”
Indoor track had practice everyday after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
“There are three sprinting events, two relays or (one depending on the meet) three distance, one throwing, and two jumping, (also depending on the meet,)” said senior, Allison Hurst.
