How much homework is too much?
“When I have to spend over three hours on it or when I physically can’t do it all” said Dyanna Weis, Sophomore.
According to Harris Cooper of Duke University, he recommends that we spend 90 minutes per day on homework.
“I’d say more than like an hour or two a night. We’re still kids and need time to be kids,” said senior, Ruthann Westover
High schoolers reported doing an average of 2.7 hours of homework per weeknight, according to a study by the Washington Post
“I’d say like two or more assignments for each class per day,” said junior, Bryson Stipanovich
Less than 1 percent of the students said homework was not a stressor. More than 70 percent of students said they were often or always stressed over schoolwork.
