The first track meet was home with cold weather and a strong wind. We had a few wins starting off with the girls. Allie Wilkins wins with a 14.28 for the 100 meter. Jaycee Eggett takes 1st in the 1600 race with a time of 6:29. Bethany Swallom takes 2nd in both the 400 and 800. The 200 was the last race of the day and only got 2 times which were first Morgan Thornton with a time of 32.8 and Jaidyn Wilder in second with 33.15.

We had many winners in girls throwing events as well. Such as Kadence Byrd taking 1st in Shot Put with a distance of 30’1″. Carly Chidester takes 1st in discus with a 61’5″. Kelsee Broadbent takes first in Javelin with a mark of 88’11.5″.

There was also jumping events such as high jump for Nikki Dong and Sadie Mouritsen tying with a height of 4’0″. Dong also did long jump and won that event with 13’6″.

As for the boys, starting off with Ethan Rainer taking 3rd in the 100 by 12.66. With a time of 24.63, Rigdon Murdock takes 1st in the 200. The 400 had a time below a minute for 1st place which was held by Anthony Scott. Clifford Richardson ran the 800 and won with 2:19. Richardson also takes first in the 1600 by 5:10.53. Matthew Harris ran the 110 Hurdles taking 2nd place with 17.38. Jake Bodell ran the 330 Hurdles and took 2nd as well with 54.12.

Throwers started with Shot Put, and first being Nathan Bloomfeldt with the distance of 38’10”. Charles Martinson takes second in discus with 92’7″. As for Javelin, Rainer takes 1st after joining the throwers two days before the meet, throwing a distance of 112’2″.

Jake Bodell takes 2nd in high jump with the height of 5’2″. Long Jumper Hayden Brown takes 4th for our school with a length of 16’10.50″.
