The cross country season has come to an end, with the second round of state competition on the 24th of October.
The athletes ended up being 8th out of 18 teams competing this year.
Daxton Lear, junior in the cross country team, said, “Everybody ran 30 seconds slower than usual, it seems like it was an off day for everyone.”
Even if the second round didn’t go as planned, cross country runners are planning for next year rather than dwelling on a meet they would rather have won, and focusing on the positive.
Cliff Richardson, junior and member of the cross country team, said, “I’d say thrilling season, you never really know what’s coming next.”
