Dungeons and Dragons: Slaying Ghouls and Goblins

Going through dungeons and slaying monsters is what Dungeons and Dragons is all about. Many people still play this game even with it being a 49-year-old game.

Dungeons and Dragons was created in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules Inc. Since then the game has only exploded in popularity. A group of players makes up the game led by a “Dungeon Master” who writes the story of the adventure and builds the layout of places visited throughout the campaign.

Players get to create a unique character using the many races featured in the handbook that is used with the game. Players then give their character points to certain attributes such as Charisma, Constitution (that being health), and Strength just to name a few.

Most actions in the game can have a chance of failure so whenever you’d like to do an action within the game the Dungeon Master asks for you to roll a 20-sided die to see how the action will turn out.

A new club has formed and the main focus is this game. The club president, Tanner Perkins, had this to say about what to expect from the club “We have a lot of plans for the DND club and we try to keep it fun and entertaining.” With a lot planned for the year, there are bound to be some things to get out of this club. As well as that, Tanner said, “DND means a lot to me because it is a way for me and my friends to get together and have fun… DND is a very cool game because in a way you can kinda change the rules to make it your own.” So look forward to this new club for a chance to make new friends and have a good time with your existing ones.

This life of a musician is fulfilling, it is what makes him as a person, it is the reason he gets out of bed, music is the reason he feels content, music is the reason he is the person he is now. Jackson jenkins is a senior at Grantsville High School, he is a part of the school marching band as well as his own band with some of the school faculty. He is a very accomplished musician and has the instruments to prove it. Jackson shreds, his live for guitar and the sharp feeling that he gets when he plays it comes back to when he was a little kid playing at the school of rock, a school specifically for the most gifted musicians, he plays his heart to the floor every day, and he doesn't stop because he feels there would be somethings missing The goals that he has for his music are nothing short of challenging, Jackson has been shredding every day for the past 8 years for at least an hour. He says he gets caught up in the moment of playing the guitar so much that it is usually more than an hour. When he is playing music he says it is like he's speaking another language, he feels like he is creating something new and better than he has before every time he plays. The sense of accomplishment he feels every time he even puts a finger on his guitar that is always kept nice and clean for the next time he wants to make the music language that he is creating.
