There Are Things to Be Thankful for in School.

Here are what your peers are thankful for at GHS.

November is all about Thanksgiving and being thankful. The season of gratitude and the beginning of the holidays is here.  Here at GHS the students and staff are busy finding what they are thankful for within the school.

Lani Firth, senior, Drill team Historian says, “I’m thankful for our wonderful lunch ladies and how much effort they put into making sure that everyone is happy with what they got. They are so sweet and I love talking to them every day when I go to get lunch.”

Gratitude is a force that brings people together.  This Thanksgiving season the school pride and acts of thanks are high.  Take time to donate to the Key Club fundraiser to help kids in need.  The kids that are receiving these toys and donations are sure to feel thankful.

Mr. Hermansen, social studies teacher, says, “I’m thankful for the few students that don’t make my life harder.”

There are many things to be thankful for that make the school functional. Therefore, a lot goes into running a high school.  Students at GHS have a plethora of activities and clubs to participate in.

Paige Watkins, senior, says “I’m thankful for all the friendships I’ve created.”

Within all these clubs, football games, and dances, GHS gives its students a chance to build strong friendships that will last a lifetime.

She is always present, happy, and cheerful. Every day she starts her time with a smile, enjoying the sunlight on the bright day. Seeing her friends walking down the street, she lifts her feet as if she is soaring through the air. How do you enjoy your time with someone? You get to know them better by making the conversation flow better. Her kindness is admired by everyone, knowing that she cares and listens to you. Understanding that you are important and she recognizes you as a being. Hannah is a great person who will value the time that she is giving you, making sure that she isn’t wasting your time.  Committing to the conversation, always listening; looking at you as if nothing around is more important than you.  Hannah could go on and on about any little thing. She is extremely easy to approach and very friendly. She is always eager to listen to you and genuinely cares about you. Not only is she kind and beautiful, she is very optimistic and knows how to keep a smile on your face.  As I got to know how amazing this girl was she made me feel that every conversation was the most important thing at that moment. Her bright smile invites you to open up and make sure that you are heard.  Her atmosphere is around the person that she is currently talking to, she enjoys talking to the people that she cares about and loves. Take her time, getting to know you and she will never make you feel invisible.  Hannah is definitely worth getting to know and making her life better by having your friendship. I know that Hannah loves her friendships because they mean so much to her. More than you could possibly know. Hannah is a very bright, special, and beautiful person.
